Are the Beatitudes your way into Heaven?

In Matthew 5:3-10, The Sermon on the Mount is conducted where Jesus gives believers a list of characteristics we should emulate to be more like God and bring us closer to God. According to the Bible, If you follow the Beatitudes do you become saved and receive salvation to get into Heaven or is the only way to heaven through Jesus?
